My best hair care tips

A few of my simple tips for good hair care

I like to take good care of my hair. It’s such a big part of your appearance and looks. So to have healthy and beautiful hair is just alpha-omega! I’d, therefore, like to share some of my easy tips for good hair care.

My best hair care tips for you!

As mentioned, I’d like to share a few of my best and simple hair care tips with you, as it’s so easy to do every day. It’s just small things, that you might not know, but you should try and incorporate into your routines. Nothing big, just how you do things you probably already do and in which order!

It’s the same with skincare – if you don’t do it right don’t do it at all. Okay, that’s maybe not entirely true, but do it right to get the best effect!

The way you comb your hair

Did you know how much it actually means for the health of your hair and the way it grows? To comb your hair right, at the right time with the right brush is so important and maybe some of the easiest hair care you do for yourself!

A thing I have never thought about is, that you should try not to comb your hair when it’s wet. I think a lot of women tend to comb their hair after they get out of the shower, however, that’s when your hair is most fragile. When hair has absorbed water it will easier get tangled. So try to brush your hair before you hit the shower.

It’s also important that you use a good brush for your type of hair. If your fine hair like me for example, it’s good to use a round brush. Preferable one with natural wild boar bristles or similar, like that, will get your natural oils going! And then always brush from root to end. Massage your scalp to stimulate blood circulation and hair growth and brush. That was easy hair care, right?

This is how you dry your hair!

It probably doesn’t come as a surprise to you, but another good hair care tip is to let your hair air dry! At least for as long as possible. I know sometimes you are in a rush and you need to blowdry your hair, but if possible try to do it as the very last thing. Avoid doing it in dripping wet hair and not on high heat. You don’t want to roast your hair! Maybe even use the cooling function if it has one, like this one from Babyliss I use. Check it out!

When I say that you need air dry your hair, I mean by the air! Don’t rub your hair too much with your towel. The towel might be very rough in material, meaning you would wear your hair a lot – again, the wet fragile hair. So to avoid breaking and damage your hair, just dap your hair with the towel and run your fingers through the hair. It takes longer, but it’s worth the wait in the long run!
